Only roll for initiative once and then alternate.
Divide the big group into squads
Play for points or high score? Gold pieces used as points. Tell before or after total number available?
Give out gold to be used to buy things. Squads decide how to spend it among themselves.
Magical artifacts to create items? One shot things to create something at that moment? Able to make other things with ingredients? (Are we gathering ingredients now?)
It can't be too much like a board game or just play a board game. So, tough choices? How much tailoring can I do based on group and squad composition? How much should I do?
