Clash of Clans

June 20, 2014

The group is at a farmhouse staying the night.  They meet up with some of their group while others head out for supplies.  While staying there, goblins attack!  The ranger won't stand for it and pushes the group to attack.  Further, he catches that they are talking about sacrifice as well as their usual chants.  The ranger uses his werefalcon form to hunt them all down so none escape.

The group still needs to do some more scouting so head back up to the area.  They find a large group in the direction that the goblins had tried to retreat and start to follow them.  The ranger leaves a trail and sticks with them.  The group almost catches up to them when they run into a patrol of ogres, who are just interested in food stock!  It's a tough fight but they manage to fend them off.

The group catches up to the group of goblins and takes out a group that are hunting.  But a few almost got away and they aren't sure they can do more.  The ranger notices that they have a banner that is an ogre clan marking.  So he takes it!  The group uses it for their own camp and it does stop an ogre from attacking but the goblins aren't so lucky and half of them are taken as foodstock for the ogres.  During the confusion, the group was able to sneak out some refugees that the goblins had managed to catch.

To the west, they find the source of their map: orcs.  A huge encampment of orcs that has goblins in cages and is setting up near a stone altar.

GM Notes

  • Stuff I missed:  The Ranger knew of ogres but was surprises to see them this far south and east.  Usually they stick up in the other side of the river near the mountains.
  • Stuff I missed:  The Ranger also knows that orcs are not that common in this area, especially not in these numbers.  This is definitely not good.
  • I'm sure I missed more in my write up.  I need to write it sooner!
