Current priorities:

Night Haunts (artifact) - The half-elf pathfinder, Ilnerik, also a vampire, has the dark side of it. The Mother of Flies told us about an abandoned house, Walcourt, that has been used by the Council as a storage and meeting place.

Contract for the Mother of Flies (A copy of the contract she brokered with Sidonai Drovenge to ensure he has a son.)

We decide to spend time reviewing the contract. Ricken summons 4 vulpinole agathions to assist us with the contract.

Basic gist of our information is that Ecarrdian Drovenge is the offspring of Mammon and Sidonai. When Ecarrdian was born, his soul was linked with his closest familial tie. Mammon hoped it would have been Sidonai but since he was gone it became Chamady, his sister. This entwined her soul with Mammon. Furthermore, if Ecarrdian comes to rule Westcrown, Chamady's soul will be eternally forfeit to Mammon.

While Ricken and Verus are looking at the contract, Galen and Praetorius visit various noble houses to find more information on their allegiances.

They discover that there are two groups of nobles, for the council and for the town. Amongst the council nobles, there is a split between the Arvanxi supporters and the Drovenge supporters.

Verus spends the entire night preparing the basement at Judged to detect and nullify scrying spells while planning for Chamady to come read the contract. 

Ricken heads home to talk to Julia to find out what happened to Ertien. She seems to think that he was taken, prior to a council vote, to Walcourt. She's convinced that's impossible. He then gets to explain his business interests in Rego Cader. He also asks his father if he knows of any impersonations in any of the houses. He mentions that the mayor has been acting strangely a bit. He suggests that his majordomo is a very accomplished bard and could possible answers some of Ricken's questions.

After finishing up the task, Ricken and Verus finally get some rest and wake up about an hour before Chamady arrives.

When she shows up at Judged, Praetorius tells her that we found some documents pertaining to her. He leads her down to the  basement and Verus drops the contract on the table and their notes next to it. Ricken then explains all of the implications of the contract to her. She then asks a few questions. Verus mentions that a copy of the contract exists within Walcourt. That starts her talking about the council and is rather surprised about how much we already knew.

Ilnerik apparently is the one that has Ertien. 

When the discussion moves towards the mayor, Verus asks if the mayer has been replaced because of the impersonations around town. The dopplegangers were mentioned in connection, but she didn't think that they would have taken over the mayer. She decides she needs to talk to her family and find out more information. She also says that if she's not in contact by tonight, expect the worst.

Enter Walcourt from the back house, 2nd floor. The first floor of Walcourt doesn't even lead to the 2nd floor.

We head out later to Walcourt and load up on buff spells before Ricken casts Passwall to get us in. That sends up an alarm and Ogre mages are on the other side heading towards us.

K steps through and shoots one of them while Galen adds fire to his sword.

Praetorius and Curator step forward and attack. Curator is hit with an opportunity attack, hard. Then more show up and suddenly there are six of them. Ricken steps into the opening and casts haste on everyone in front.

Curator and Galen lay into the ogre in front of them and Praetorius walks in and kills it. He then runs up to the next one, hits it really strong and runs back to the group, getting hit in the process.

The ogre mage that had hit Praetorius manages to charm him as Galen ran forward to attack. After some quick talking, Praetorius manages to snap out of it right before he would have attacked Galen as he went by.

The other ogres then disappear behind invisibility spells. Verus responds by casting True Seeing on K, Ricken and Verus. K then attacks the one everyone can still see on the roof and Curator finishes him off. Then the four other ogres reappear, surrounding us, and cast cone of cold together. 

Being so nicely bunched up, Ricken casts mythic fireball on three of them and Verus follows it up with a chain lightning on all four of them.

From out of nowhere a magus flies down in front of Ricken and beats the crap out of him. Galen runs back and attacks the ogre on the ground.

K swaps out her weapon and turns around to attack the new guy. She realizes that he has stoneskin and fire resist.

Praetorius turns around and runs past the ogre and attacks in the process. The ogre swipes at him as he goes by, then he gets hit by the magus as he gets into position behind him. As he hits him the first time, the magus's contingency fires off an acid shield. Praetorius does a significant amount of damage to him and takes quite a bit of damage from the acid shield.

After all that, an ogre drops down behind Praetorius and puts him down. Then another ogre drops down next to K. Galen, who is now surrounded, manages to dodge one attack and counterattacks. Galen tumbles around two ogres and past a newly arrived dwarf that has an anti-magic field around him. 

Ricken summons a Gaele Azata to drop down next to Praetorius to heal him. Verus casts Communal Protection from Acid so that everyone can hit him without worries. 

After a lot of back and forth, Praetorius finally takes out the magus. The protection from acid is almost completely used up in the process, but he finally kills the magus.

Curator turns and attacks the ogre behind him as the other ogre casts cone of cold. Ricken uses his Staff of the Magi to absorb it, then uses the same staff to use Mythic Telekineses to throw one of the ogres into the dwarf. 

Following that is mostly cleanup with the ogres until the dwarf retreats a bit and casts earthquake at us. Ricken manages to use Mythic Dispel to counter the earthquake spell and heals himself a bit.

Ricken then uses Mythic Telekinesis to launch the dwarf in the air 130ft straight up. He commands his Gaele Azata to slice him at the peak. This kills him rather efficiently. 

After the battle, Ricken asks the Azata to heal everyone. Verus never took damage so he is looting the human at that point.

The magus turned out to have over 1 million gp worth of magic items. Cloak of resistance +5, Headband of mental prowess +6 (INT & WIS), Belt of Physical might (DEX & CON) +6, amulet of Natural Armor +5, ring of regeneration, Carpet of Flying, Bracers of Armor +8, Boots of Teleportation, +4 Adamantine chain shirt, +5 leather, +4 Unholy Keen cold iron short sword, +4 unholy Keen silver short sword, AND 35 gp on him.
