October 14, 2486 - Grid Notes 

• In a surprise today, the gardhyi publically backed Melissa Yager in her bid to become governor.  They said that after spending time with both candidates, that they thought she would be the better leader and new blood that Hammer's Star needs to look toward the future.  
• The blix also came out and endorsed Ms. Yager but due to some translation problems, not all that was said was understood.  
• Governor Proctor's people responded saying that the meetings with the gardhyi were not billed as being about support, and as such were more informal.  They are asking that the gardhyi meet with Governor Proctor again in a more formal setting.  There has been no word if the gardhyi have agreed to this. 
• In a surprise move, VoidCorp also backed Melissa Yager in the gubernatorial race.  They said she has the leadership skills needed to help rebuild Hammer Star's failing economy and see them into the 26th century.  
• The Borealis Republic and Orion League have asked for an audit on several of the last contracts they received.  There are claims that bribes were attempted on the government's side to keep the union wages low.  
• While last week, it was looking like Governor Proctor was going to easily win the election, things have shifted quickly.  The latest polls show his lead down to less than four points.  That is a drop of nearly twelve points in the past week.  
• ATC is off again and they once again manage to keep their trips off the books, BlackGrid reports.  Further, BlackGrid claims that ATC has been working on several secret projects for Governor Proctor, things the governor would not want the public to know about.  If they aren't, why have they been so evasive about their recent trips?
