September 11, 2486 - Grid Notes

  • It could be that ATC is going to get some competition soon.  The Aegean trading company, Sun Never Sets, has started talks with the Orion League about getting several standard trade routes established in the near future.  Neither side could be reached for any comment other than talks are happening and it's too early in them to say anything else.
  • Pirate activity is up in the Crow system.  Surveyors there reported having difficulties but suffered no casualties.
  • Two ships, the Swoop and the Magatuki, went missing several weeks ago.  They were based out of Oberon and were reportedly heading toward Sedin.  However, it's now been almost a month with no contact from them.
  • VoidCorp did bring their bottom line from dipping too much and are projected to post a profit at the end of this quarter.
  • The new tri vids movies from last summer have finally arrived on crystal and can be purchased at many local places.
  • The One True God has reported it will be making a big showing in the next few months.
  • BlackGrid is claiming that the Pit is once again spewing out time distortions and that we should see effects in the next week.
  • TheProfessor is worried about the Orion League's ability to make good on a trading run, as they haven't done well in Aegis, but does concede that the move here could help them out.
  • Preacher reports that he found several projects working on alien life forms.  Those involved would not speak to him but did confirm they were hired by reputable companies to do some advanced research.  Preacher hopes to find out more from an inside source.
  • Two local people won credit jackpots in the amount of fifty thousand.  Both have said it will pay bills but keep them working.
  • The power grids of Corinth and Whitehead are again experiencing issues.  Users are asked to keep power consuption as low as they can until this problem can be resolved.
  • The Grid Games will be back up and running next month!  Nariac representatives have sent the new code, which is supposed to fix the crash of last May.  Expect more reports on this in the next few days!
